How it Works

Smart film technology uses liquid crystal technology to switch between opaque and transparent states, providing dynamic privacy and light control. This film consists of a liquid crystal/polymer composite sandwiched between two transparent conductive layers. In its natural, unpowered state, the liquid crystals are randomly oriented, making the film appear opaque or frosted.

When an electric current is applied, the liquid crystal molecules align in an orderly fashion, allowing light to pass through and turning the film transparent. The transition between these states is almost instantaneous, offering seamless control over privacy and visibility.
